Every year Gold Star Urgent Care hosts a free sports physical event for the community. Our goal with our FREE Sports Physical Day is to promote the participation of sports among our youth and alleviate some of the financial strain for parents. Historically, we have received great feedback from the community on how much this day helps their children.

 

Last year, we were able to partner with the City of Florence and fellow health care professionals to serve over 200 students. We are looking forward to exceeding our previous year’s participants in May 2026.

 

Gold star Urgent Care is passionate about the community we serve, and community outreach is a part of our mission. This year, we will be hosting our event under our new nonprofit organization Gold Star Cares Foundation. Gold Star Cares is a 501c3 organization. Therefore, all donations are tax deductible.

 

None of what we do is possible without the donations and volunteer services of our community. With our goal to serve even more residents of our community, we are calling on the help of business owners / healthcare professionals in our community. We greatly appreciate volunteers, vendors, social media promotion, and monetary donations.
